Early Stage Investing
Our focus is on pre-seed till series A . We get involved early in the life of a startup with a reasonable check size leading to significant skin in the game from us.
Initial Investments
Our cheque sizes typically range from AU$150k up to AU$1.5m. As your long term partner, we are known to provide patient capital, double down on follow on rounds and tap into our network to facilitate introductions to other VCs, if required.

Fund Raise Help & Debt provisions
Follow-on fund raising is a very important part of a founder’s job. We help you reach out to local and global VCs by tapping into our network, and crafting pragmatic fund-raising strategies including enlisting the support of investment bankers when required. We also provide debt to the portfolio, if required, so that they raise funds at the right time, are not unnecessarily diluted, and get the best deals.
International Expansion

The only cue we’re looking for here is a great idea coupled with a vision, and an ambitious plan to execute (some founders may have just started this journey while others may be farther along, it doesn’t matter). We try our best to revert to you within a couple of days with a personalized response.
Getting to know each other
Following on, we’ll be inviting you to, preferably, a face-to-face meeting. We’d love to hear about your vision and your plans, your Unique Value Proposition and Insights, and how are you raring to make an impact, essentially what makes you YOU. As we always say, this meeting is as much about you getting to know us better too.
Let’s get into details
This usually is the heavy phase consisting of current and future Business plans. At this level, we do a comprehensive deep dive into the business financials, past performance if applicable, future business plans, technology, customer feedback, etc. via several meetings with you and your leadership teams. This is followed by an Investment Note being presented to the Investment Committee for a final decision.
Due Diligence & Term Sheet
Post this we roll out the term sheet outlining our investment terms and valuation and have third party agencies perform final legal and financial checks.
Fund Disbursement
Post final checks, funds are disbursed, and we are all aboard! Welcome to Meraki Venture Capital and thank you for bringing us along on your journey. We look forward to working together with you as One Team.
